What is opaqueair.com?
opaqueair.com is the personal site or photoblog for Tim Pamer.
Who is Tim Pamer?
Is he a simple Appalachian Man with an affinity for large trucks?
A landlocked Sea Captain that misses the sea?
Or, a Personal Injury Lawyer out to defend the disadvantaged?
Actually, Tim Pamer is just a dude/photographer that likes writing about himself in the third person.
Hello to all and thanks for visiting opaqueair...
My name is Tim Pamer I'm an amateur photographer living and working in Charlottesville, Virginia. opaqueair.com is a photoblog I started in March of 2007 in an attempt to motivate myself to take more/better photos. The reward is having a place to share photos and recieve feedback about my work.
To date I have chosen to work almost exclusively with film...Why? Well it's the same reason I use chopsticks at Chinese Restaurants, I'm just that pretentious. Well actually, I just love the look and the process of using film... Not really the waiting as much as the idea of not knowing what you'll get until the film is developed. An idea that both terrifies and invigorates me. For now I think there's still a lot left for me to explore with film, and I'm sure I'll move on to work more with digital eventually, because the concept of instant satisfaction is just too attractive.
It's my hope that I'll always love working with film or just taking pictures as much as I do right now.
Thanks again for visiting...I welcome and appreciate any honest feedback. So please tell me what you think.
